Promoting Apprenticeships and Traineeships

The NSW Training Awards are seen as the pinnacle event to reward excellence in VET in NSW. There is the potential for finalists and winners to become ambassadors for VET in NSW and role models to encourage others, particularly school students, to consider VET as a pathway to their future careers. The role of VET ambassadors enhance the sense of achievement and recognition of individual NSW Training Award winners. It also contributes to the overall celebration of success in VET represented by the NSW Training Awards.

The Board initiated this project to develop a range of initiatives including promotional videos on past apprentice and trainee of the year winners, pamphlets, and personal promotional appearances by award winners accompanied by a targeted implementation strategy. The project was completed in 2006 with development and dissemination of promotional material.
