Disability Programs
The Department manages two programs aimed at providing career
development opportunities for people with a disability. The
Apprenticeship Program for People with Disabilities and the
Traineeship Program for People with Disabilities aim to provide
a work environment that assists people with disabilities to
work to their full potential and achieve job satisfaction,
as well as encouraging NSW government agencies to recruit
people with disabilities.
Both programs fund wages and allowances for apprentices and
trainees less the Commonwealth Department of Education, Science
and Training’s Disabled Apprentices Wage Subsidy.
