NSW traineeship system review consultations
Mr Peter Noonan of Peter Noonan Consulting has been engaged to
conduct an independent review of the traineeship system in New South
Wales. The review has been commissioned by the NSW Board of Vocational
Education and Training as part of the NSW Government’s commitment
to improve the quality of traineeship outcomes.
An important part of the review process is consultation with stakeholders
involved in the traineeship system. Stakeholder input to the review
is now being invited.
A public consultation paper has been prepared to assist with the
consultation process. The paper draws on two background research reports
that have been prepared as part of the review and also form an important
resource for the consultation process. These documents can be accessed

Four broad themes are explored in the consultation paper and some
consultation questions posed to guide the consultation process and
an analysis of consultation outcomes. However, respondents should
not feel constrained by either the issues or questions identified
in this paper.
